Location:

The BRAŻŻA Art Residency is located in the south West of France, between the towns of Cognac and Angoulême, in the country town of Châteauneuf sur Charente. This river town is at the center of an archipelago of hamlets and villages. Countrymen come from all around for their everyday needs, which is why Châteauneuf has all the amenities: a train station, a delicious food market 3 times a week, doctors and dentists, small and big supermarket and 4 cafés/bars! Additionally the municipality runs an art gallery where our residents can exhibit (if booked early enough). In summer, the open air swimming pool and the river beach makes it quite an attraction. The surroundings of Châteauneuf are fun to explore either on foot, on a bike or with the regional trains (on which you can put your bike for free).

How to reach BRAŻŻA

The residency is easy to reach and well-connected to dynamic cities like Angoulême, Poitiers or La Rochelle and metropolis like Bordeaux or Paris.

By train: there are direct regional trains from Angoulême, Royan or La Rochelle.

By Plane: the nearest airport is in Bordeaux. You can also land in Paris. In both cases you will need to then take the train to Châteauneuf with a stop in Angoulême.
