The BRAŻŻA Residency is open to any individual or collective with a project in mind. We welcome writers, researchers, artists, painters, musicians, actors and photographers. However due to the small number of rooms available, the applicants will be selected according to their project.

Application Form

During his/her stay, the resident is accompanied by the residency voluntary team to answer any questions, meet persons of interest, engage in the cultural scene.

The Residency offers an apartment with 2 bedrooms, a small kitchen, a bathroom and an individual entrance on the street. Access to the art studio (30 sqm), the residency’s library and the photo studio is offered. A bicycle is at the resident’s disposal.

The resident is welcome to stay between 2 weeks and 3 months.

Extra rooms

On the ground floor there are two interconnected rooms that can be used for events, or as meeting/work space. This is also where the musicians can play piano.

Grants

The BRAŻŻA Residency is regularly getting funding for particular art projects. This takes time and needs to fit the program of sponsors (public and private). there is also a list of schemes that the artist can contact directly to support the expenses of his or her residency.

Rates

  • The stay within the private apartment or within the semi-private art studio is 300e per week for one person (excluding meals).
  • Room and board : You are free to choose to share a few meals with us or not.
    • As an option you can choose to join us for 4 diners per week (excluding breakfast and lunch). The total accommodation is 375e per week per person. Diners are served in the main house, around a big table. Let us know if you are vegetarian or vegan.
    • There is a little kitchen for the artists and a fresh food market three times a week. If you don’t fancy cooking, there are delicious bakeries and a variety of food places in town where to have lunch for a reasonable price.
  • Groups: the residency has 3 extra bedrooms with double beds, all within the main house. In total, 5 bedrooms can welcome 5 people, and up to 7 people with 2 single beds added. For such collective residency, the rates vary from 1500e for 5 people, to 1800e for 7 people for a week.

The minimum period is one week. Bookings for a shorter period are possible but they will be charged the week rate.

Children and companions are welcome. The residency requires 100e per week per extra person to cover extra expenses. Free for children. Diners for the extra person costs 80e per week.

Meals are prepared with, as much as possible, local food from the village market and from the garden. Any one is welcome to cook his favorite dish of course!
